Notes
1) In accordance with the Senate decision dated 16.06.2017 regarding trilingual education, it is required to have at least B2 level language proficiency in each of Turkish, English and Arabic as a graduation requirement in all departments of our University. A- Since the Islamic Sciences Undergraduate Program provides 30% education in English, students who will start the program must be successful in English and Turkish preparation. It is aimed to ensure Arabic proficiency with the Intensive Basic Arabic, Intensive Intermediate Arabic, Intensive Classical Arabic I and Intensive Classical Arabic II courses added to the Curriculum. While the codes of these four Arabic courses were previously SIS, in the latest study conducted by the Senate Education Commission on course codes, these were changed to ARA, and the SIS codes of all our department courses were also changed to IS. Students who take language courses with the code SIS 103-104, SIS 211-212 and fail can complete their graduation obligations by taking them with the code ARA. Students who have previously taken any course other than language courses with an SIS code and failed, complete their graduation obligations by taking the relevant course with an IS code. B- Students will only be able to enroll in the language course appropriate to their level through level determination exams organized by the School of Languages. C- They must bring a document at A2 level to be exempt from Intensive Basic Arabic, B2 to be exempt from Intensive Intermediate Arabic, C1 to be exempt from Intensive Classical Arabic I, and C2 to be exempt from Intensive Classical Arabic II.
2) Since our faculty is defined as 30% English, a total of at least 72 ECTS courses must be taken in English in order to meet this requirement. In this respect, university common courses and some departmental compulsory courses were defined in English, and the remaining part was completed with electives.
3) All elective courses in the undergraduate curriculum of our faculty have been left as absolute electives without being restricted by any qualification, so that all courses in the undergraduate curriculum of Ibn Haldun University, including language courses, can be taken as electives.
4) To graduate from the Islamic Sciences undergraduate program, 48 courses with a total of 149 credits and 240 ECTS are taken. 8 of these (5 compulsory + 3 elective) are university common courses, 29 are field core courses, and 11 are elective courses.
