Islamic Studies School About

The Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Ibn Haldun University stands out as a center of original thought and education that not only transmits the Islamic scholarly tradition but also reinterprets it in line with contemporary needs. Our faculty offers a trilingual education model in Arabic, Turkish, and English, providing students with the opportunity to engage directly with classical sources while also working effectively with international academic literature.

The faculty curriculum, based on an interdisciplinary approach, integrates Islamic sciences with fields such as philosophy, history, sociology, law, and politics. In this way, our students acquire the competence to develop profound and multidimensional solutions to the intellectual, cultural, and social challenges faced by contemporary Islamic societies.

In our academic work, scientific reasoning, intellectual independence, and the development of an original perspective in response to Orientalist approaches are essential principles. Our faculty operates within an independent and innovative intellectual framework that engages with Islamic thought in the face of postmodern challenges—grounded in tradition, yet reconstructing it anew.

Our students gain global experience through international exchange programs, overseas research grants, and collaborations with universities around the world. Thanks to this strong academic foundation and competence, our graduates go on to take on significant roles in prominent research centers, academic institutions, and think tanks—both in Turkey, particularly at ISAM, and abroad.

The Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Ibn Haldun University continues its journey with the ideal of raising a generation that knows the tradition, understands the present, and is committed to building the future through knowledge.

Join us in this intellectual journey toward a new horizon of thought and a renewed foundation of knowledge.
