The ninth event in the Islamic Studies Conferences series, organized by the School of Islamic Studies at our university, was held under the title “Intellectual Experiences Sharing.”

Organized by the School of Islamic Studies at Ibn Haldun University, the ninth event of the Islamic Studies Conferences series was held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Media and Events Center, Teoman Duralı Conference Hall, under the title “Intellectual Experiences Sharing.” The conference hosted Dr. Elif Tokay from Istanbul University Faculty of Theology; Hatice Kübra Baktemur, a doctoral student at the University of Birmingham; and Sümeyye Olgaç, a doctoral student at Marmara University and Qur’an course instructor. The event provided an opportunity for researchers at different academic levels to share their scholarly knowledge and experiences.

Following the opening remarks, which emphasized the mission of this conference series to bring together young researchers and experienced academics on a shared platform, the presentations began. Dr. Elif Tokay discussed the processes of academic formation and research methodologies in the field of Islamic sciences. Hatice Kübra Baktemur addressed the intellectual and practical challenges faced by young researchers in light of her doctoral studies. Sümeyye Olgaç explained the opportunities and challenges of simultaneously engaging in academic research and field-based religious education activities.

Throughout the event, participants posed questions to the speakers regarding research strategies, scholarly productivity, academic motivation, and methodological approaches. The program concluded with a Q&A session and expressions of appreciation.

The Islamic Studies Conferences series will continue throughout the year with various themes, aiming to open new horizons for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students.
