About the event:

In almost every branch of Islamic Studies in our country, fourteen centuries of scientific heritage is handled and analysed with different scientific meetings and different methods. Sometimes the author and his work, sometimes the geographical region, sometimes the subject, sometimes the century, sometimes the sect-based studies, sometimes the periods in which the states that were influential in history ruled, the Islamic scientific heritage has been / are being studied. The Islamic scholarly heritage of the Ottoman period has been the subject of studies in the last few decades, especially in our country, to a remarkable extent that we have not witnessed before. Of course, tafsir activities in the Ottoman period have also received its share from these studies. Identification studies on the literature that constitutes the basis for examining the tafsir tradition in the Ottoman Empire have been carried out recently, and to a considerable extent. With the digitalisation, on the one hand, it is expected to eliminate the deficiencies in the literature and make it more inclusive, on the other hand, it is necessary to take a more detailed x-ray of the literature in terms of content with different approaches to be applied. This first workshop aims to answer the question of how such content studies will be carried out and which methods and approaches will be appropriate and effective.
