The Islamic Studies Talks, a tradition of the School of Islamic Studies, redefined the essence of scholarship in its 16th meeting. Aiming to illuminate the undergraduate years, which constitute the most critical threshold of the academic journey, the faculty hosted Asst. Prof. Muhammed Tahir Büyükkörükçü this week as part of its ongoing conference series.
The event took place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Ömer Faruk Harman Hall. During the session, Asst. Prof. Büyükkörükçü, a Senior Researcher at ISAM, provided strategic guidance to undergraduate students on charting their academic and personal roadmaps under the theme “How to Live a Life?”.
The program emphasized that undergraduate years are a vital period for character building. Asst. Prof. Büyükkörükçü shared guiding insights on setting short- and long-term goals in the study of Islamic Studies, as well as how to efficiently utilize technology and modern resources in the pursuit of knowledge. Students had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with Asst. Prof. Büyükkörükçü and pose their questions. Following the talk, a gift draw was held to boost student motivation.
Ibn Haldun University School of Islamic Studies aims not only to equip its students with academic knowledge through these valuable gatherings but also to ensure they gain a solid worldview. The intense interest from young scholars seeking to draw a robust roadmap for their intellectual journey once again proved the significance of such events.
